"Only time will tell whether Dubai will remain the blue-eyed boy of the world's real-estate market." Thus concluded a television report from New Delhi on the opening of the Burj Dubai amid the emirate's recent credit crisis. The report pointed out that a quarter of the world's construction cranes are in use in Dubai. In New Delhi, the second tallest building is only about 600 feet, but it was built six centuries ago.
