Porsche might be the only automaker excited about 2009. A week after announcing it owns more than 50 percent of Volkswagen stock -- in an attempt to take over the company -- Porsche will officially open the doors to its long-awaited museum in Stuttgart, Germany, this week.

Wendelin Wiedeking, Porsche's chief executive, will appear at a private opening ceremony on Jan. 28, and the museum will open to the public three days later.

General admission is 7 euros (about $9.20). Children under 14 can enter free.
