McCloskey & LaPlume Earn Weekly Little East Cross Country Recognition

Providence, R.I.-Junior Conor McCloskey (Wakefield, RI) and freshman Ian LaPlume (Hope Valley, RI) were recognized by the Little East Conference for their performance in the Anchormen's 21-34 win at Eastern Connecticut on Saturday, Oct. 17.
 
McCloskey was named the Little East Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the third time this season. He took first overall with a time 24:03.
 
LaPlume was named the Little East Conference Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week. He placed third with a time of 25:07.
 
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2011 Little East Conference/MASCAC Alliance Championships, hosted by UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, Oct. 29.
